Justice
We don’t see justice as political rhetoric. We see justice as a biblical standard and norm that flows from the very heart of God (Psalm 37:28). And we see God as the defender of poor, the displaced, and the disadvantaged (Isaiah 25).
In 700 BC, God said that his people (meaning his church) are to: (Isaiah 1)
learn to do good
seek justice
correct oppression
bring justice to the fatherless
plead the widow's cause
These words from God call for activation, not passivity. It’s the people of God loving and caring for those who don’t have parents, for women without husbands, the poor, the displaced, and the disadvantaged.
As a community we have committed ourselves to be people who grow in our understanding of biblical justice and respond in redemptive ways (Proverbs 14:31, Micah 6:8, Matthew 23:23).
We long to Jesus followers passionate about making justice a way of life (Matthew 25:35-40).

LOCAL JUSTICE
+ Human Trafficking, San Diego
We partner with NC Lifeline's Project Life program to help bring hope and healing to survivors of Human Trafficking. Human trafficking is a form of slavery. It involves controlling a person through force, fraud, or coercion to exploit the victim for forced labor or commercial sex. San Diego is one of the 13 highest sex trafficking areas in the United States and continues to increase every year.

GLOBAL JUSTICE
+ Refugee Athens, Greece
Millions of people have been fleeing the middle east to seek freedom from oppression. We come alongside refugees, most of them muslim, to show the love of Jesus; offering tangible items, as well as emotional and spiritual care. There is a movement of Jesus in Athens among muslim refugees and now those same middle eastern Jesus followers are passionately sharing Jesus with others and the gospel across Europe. Learn more here.
